Nikolay Kolyada – "the sun of Russian drama", as he once called himself, and as they call it, who ironically, who with respect, theater actors around the world - has been causing great interest in the theater world for three decades. His plays have been staged in the most famous theaters in Russia, they have been translated into many languages ​​and are performed in Germany, Italy, England, USA, Switzerland …

The "Kolyada phenomenon" in the theater is not accidental: he is an outstanding playwright – his plays are interesting to analyze and have something to think about. Kolyada is perhaps cruel in his naturalism, he offers no false comfort about life as it is, but it does not leave man without support in his quest to escape from emptiness and nothingness. Accepting the drama of his life as his life, his characters create an opportunity to accept themselves as people, and thus the world, the world of one's own possibilities as a good world for oneself.
