To find out something about himself, one should know everything about others. There doesn't have to be a mood, which cannot be experienced, nor a dead way of living, which cannot be revived. Is that absurd?? I don't think so. When he reveals to us in detail the mechanism of all actions, thus freeing us from the self-imposed obstacle of the burden of moral responsibility, the scientific law of enjoyment turns into a guarantor of contemplative existence. He shows us eloquently, that we are least free when we are struggling to act. That law encircles us with traps and writes on the wall the prophecy of our destiny. It is unnecessary to seek him because he is within us. We may not notice it, except in the mirror, in which the soul is reflected.
